Sanda House is the oldest house in Orford,(heritage listed) with the orig kitchen built in 1825 and the main house built in 1840. Known locally as the old Post Office (1876-1940) it is nestled in an acre of orchard, cottage garden, chooks, and vege patch. The house is built from local field and sandstone -very romantic and private esp the Rose room.
Four bedrms (Rose, Jasmine, Mulberry, Wisteria) have been set aside for guests, each furnished with our collection of antiques, with all the comforts, and the original colonial look and feel. Take your binoculars to the beach and meet the native birds. The Rose room is the old kitchen, which has been dated from 1825, and one can almost feel the presence of all the people who have lived and worked in that room over all that time.
