The Mocha Room - Double

The Mocha Room - Double : Max 2 people : Minimum stay 2 nights

The second of the larger rooms, the Mocha Room, looks over the neighbouring northern vineyards also the protective stone ridge to the east. It has a king–sized bed that can also be twinned. Not surprisingly the walls are painted a rich mocha brown. The furniture is a mix of early Australian cedar and mahogany pieces that blend well with the lighter contemporary fabrics used for the soft furnishings. A large striped armchair calls out to be snuggled into with a good book, and the eclectic art works include works by former local artist Russell Pick, antique Daumier cartoons and other works collected on the boys’ travels. The large en–suite has a toilet, bidet and double vanity. facilities include: • king–sized bed that can be twinned • reverse cycle air conditioning • ceiling fan • convection heating • large spacious en–suite • walk in shower • double vanity with underfloor bathroom heating for winter warmth Breakfast is of the type one always wishes for and rarely finds. Everything is homemade from the delicious multi-grain bread used for toast, to the jams and the cereals.

The white room is furnished with beautiful antiques that include a rare Australian Huon Pine wardrobe and Michael’s Grandmother’s mahogany chaise lounge, which has been recovered in a rich warm gray textured fabric. It provides a perfect spot to lay back and relax with a good book. Art works include an early Jacquie Hick painting and several Botanical studies.
