The Mocha Room - Double

The Mocha Room - Double : Max 2 people : Minimum stay 2 nights

the Mocha Room The spacious Mocha Room overlooks the neighbouring northern vineyards and the protective stone ridge to the east. It has a king–sized bed that can also be twinned. Not surprisingly, the walls are painted a rich mocha brown. The furniture is a mix of early Australian cedar and mahogany pieces that blend well with the lighter contemporary fabrics used for the soft furnishings. A large striped armchair calls out to be snuggled into with a good book; and the eclectic art works include works by former local artist “Russell Pick”, some antique Daumier cartoons and other works collected on the boys’ travels. The large en–suite has a toilet, bidet and double vanity. facilities include • king–sized bed that can be twinned  • selection of woollen and cotton blankets or doona • reverse cycle air conditioning  • ceiling fan • convection heating • large spacious en–suite • walk in shower • double vanity • underfloor bathroom heating for winter warmth • heated towel rails

The White Room - double

The White Room - double : Max 2 people : Minimum stay 2 nights

the White Room The large White Room has western vistas over both the dam and mature eucalypts. As suggested, the walls are a soft white, and the furnishings and blinds include a contemporary taupe, white and black floral pattern. The room’s drapes are sheer muslin. The king-sized bed can be twinned if required. The furniture includes a rare Australian Huon Pine wardrobe and Michael’s Grandmother’s mahogany chaise longue, which has been recovered in a rich textured canvas fabric. A beautiful rug collected on our trip to Turkey, adds an exotic finishing touch. facilities include ¥ king sized bed that can be twinned ¥ reverse cycle air conditioning ¥ Selection of woollen and cotton blankets or doona ¥ ceiling fan ¥ convection heating ¥ large spacious en–suite (also with a view) ¥ walk in shower ¥ large vanity and under floor heating for winter comfort ¥ Heated towel rails

The Yellow Room - double

The Yellow Room - double : Max 2 people : Minimum stay 2 nights

the yellow room The yellow room is a welcoming blend of pale yellow, cream and deep indigo blue. A little more traditional than the other two rooms, it is very much loved because of its feel of the previous Thorn Park Country House. It’s these pale-yellow walls and the blue drapes picked with yellow that give this lovely light room a “Chinoiserie” feel. Antique botanical prints add to this feeling without taking away a sense of space. The room has a queen-sized bed, a superb early Australian mahogany wardrobe and cedar desk, and a large comfortable arm chair, adding touches of both luxury and practicality.  The room’s large windows over-look a calm bushland setting, and through the windows on the shaded veranda, can be seen comfortable antique cane chairs. facilities include  • queen sized bed  • reverse cycle air conditioning  • selection of woollen and cotton blankets and doona • ceiling fan • convection heating • large spacious en–suite  • walk in shower • large vanity • under floor heating for winter comfort • heated towel rails The yellow room is suitable for guests with special mobility requirements.
