Reilly's Country Retreat offers the perfect getaway for couples wanting to relax and unwind. It is located in the historic town of Mintaro, in the heart of the Clare Valley. Mintaro is rich in history and the entire town was declared a State Heritage area in 1984.
Reilly’s Country Retreat is located in Hill Street, just up from the corner of Burra Street, making it within a short stroll from all of Mintaro’s sights. Behind the Retreat, a gravel path meanders through an acre of Cabernet grapevines. Several rustic benches invite you to stop and savour the peaceful atmosphere of historic Mintaro, or simply enjoy your favourite bottle of Reilly’s Wine as the sun sinks behind the trees.

Reilly's Cottage is now our Cellar Door where you can sample our crisp, clean Rieslings and our big, bold reds. Our cellar door operates from 10am until 4pm, 7 days a week, and is open every day except Good Friday and Christmas Day.

All three suites are furnished in a rustic country style, evoking images of the past, whilst offering today’s luxuries including air-conditioning, wood fires, television, and cooking facilities. All cottages accommodate two adults in a Queen sized bed.
Bed and Breakfast packages include double accommodation and provisions for a continental breakfast. When accommodation is booked for two or more nights, you will receive a complimentary bottle of wine from the award winning Reilly's Wines.
Established in 1849, Mintaro Village is now part of a State Heritage Area. Stroll through the old streets and appreciate the character and charm that you might encounter in the English Cotswold or Dales.
You'll discover stone churches, cottage gardens, an antique shop, a ruined flour mill and interesting cemetries.
There are also several small vineyards, two cellar door outlets, The Magpie & Stump historic pub, and a hedge maze.
Thompson’s Residence is a heritage house built by the first manager of the slate quarry in 1855.
It has 3 double bedrooms with queen beds, formal lounge and sunroom, fully equipped kitchen, one bathroom with large bath, slate floors throughout and combustion heaters.
Thompson's Residence can accommodate 6 people, however an extra 2 persons can be accommodated if necessary with sofa bed at a cost of $40 per couple per night payable on arrival.
