The Beach House at St Helens provides self-contained accommodation on Tasmania's stunning North East coast - just 2 hours from Launceston and 15 minutes form the Bay of Fires.

The Beach House has a fully equipped kitchen, wood panelled walls, polished wood floors, deep sofa's & comfortable deck chairs. There is convenient electric heating as well as the cosy warmth of a log fire.

From the deck there are sweeping views of Georges Bay. A short stroll down a private track takes you to a secluded bayside beach. Perr Dunes and Beer Barrel Beach are a 4 minute drive away. The Bay of Fires beaches are a short drive north.

You can also go fishing from the bayside jetties, take a fishing charter to catch deep sea tuna or enjoy delicious local oysters and seafood at award winning local restaurants.
The Beach House at St Helens has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double and single bed. It is ideal for a double couple rental.On entering the Beach House you are immediately drawn to the front deck and the stunning views over Georges Bay; your only company are the pelicans and the occasional sea eagle soaring above the majestic gum trees. The nearby holiday houses are obscured by bush and there is only a secluded, winding track between you and the bayside beach. The weatherboard seaside shacks which nestle into the gums above the beach are out of a time warp somewhere in the 1950’s – no beach side mansions and only the odd fisherman on the jetty.

The mood is modern but a few pieces of furniture are definitely retro as the Beach House has jealously guarded some of the furniture it started out with in the 1960’s. As the owners love to visit too, many guests comment on the feeling of stepping into a much loved family retreat with many touches that make the Beach House a world away from your standard holiday unit but without any undue family clutter!
