Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Tamar Valley region, Launceston Lakes adjoins native bush land.You can spot wallabies, wombats, echidnas and other Australian fauna in the wild.
The sounds of native birds welcoming the breaking of day will greet visitors enjoying their early morning fishing.
After staying overnight in the comfort of your city motel, you can easily make the half-hour trip up to the lakes after breakfast.
Devil Feeding times are: 10.30am, 1.00pm, 3.30pm.
Tasmania Zoo also offers a bus service from the Launceston CBD and surrounding area’s. (Casino, Caravan Parks, Backpackers and Hotel / Motels).
The bus will depart the nominated pick up area between 9.00am – 9.30 and return around 12.01pm – 12.30pm ready for the afternoon service.
Afternoon Service leaves the nominated pick up area at 12.30pm and returned back to your location around 4.00pm.
