Golf, tennis, lawn bowls, ovals, barbeques, and playgrounds are available nearby.The town was a thriving major transport route during the 1850s gold rush and later during the Murray riverboat trade between Milang and Port Adelaide. It’s mainstreet is as wide as it took to turn a bullock team, it had it’s own brewery and it’s two taverns the “Three Brothers Arms” and the “Macclesfield Hotel” still offer excellent cuisine.
