You will walk through country and learn how the local people lived in such a hot desert climate surviving on a variety of bush plants and animals. The One Day Cave Hill tour is an Indigenous cultural experience that will provide visitors with an insight into everyday Aboriginal life. The tour departs from all hotels at Ayers Rock Resort. Journey by 4WD, relax and enjoy a trip deep into the desert of the Pitjantjatjara Lands of Central Australia. On arrival we will be greeted by our Anangu host. The Anangu are the traditional owners of Cave Hill, which is the site of the Seven Sisters Tjukurpa (creation time), and are responsible for maintaining only that chapter of the Songline lying within the boundaries of their traditional homeland – a story that has been maintained since the beginning of time.

Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. Your guide will return you to your hotel in time for those on Sounds of Silence dinner.

You will travel towards Uluru its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its presence in this country. Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith. You will lean the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) and hear about the Mala people.
