SEIT Outback Australia

SEIT Outback Australia offers exciting, adventurous, exclusive and specialised iconic, pioneering and cultural touring in the Red Centre of Australia.

Focussing on providing travellers with interpretive touring experiences from Alice Springs to Uluru, many of the tour inclusions are exclusive to SEIT Outback Australia and will provide authentic indigenous and cultural experiences.

Itineraries are customised for small groups and charters, with a maximum group size of up to 12 passengers.

All SEIT Outback Australia guides have a passion for culture, history and the environment, and have extensive guiding experience in the remote Red Centre.

SEIT Bush Tucker : Max 10 people

Discover the importance of traditional bush food to the people of Central Australia with your Aboriginal host. You will walk through country and learn how the local people lived in such a hot desert climate surviving on a variety of bush plants and animals. Taste a selection of the bush foods, grind native seeds and have the opportunity to talk with your Aboriginal host about desert life.

SEIT Cave Hill : Max 11 people

Pickup and return from Ayers Rock Resort

The One Day Cave Hill tour is an Indigenous cultural experience that will provide visitors with an insight into everyday Aboriginal life. The tour departs from all hotels at Ayers Rock Resort. Journey by 4WD, relax and enjoy a trip deep into the desert of the Pitjantjatjara Lands of Central Australia. On arrival we will be greeted by our Anangu host. The Anangu are the traditional owners of Cave Hill, which is the site of the Seven Sisters Tjukurpa (creation time), and are responsible for maintaining only that chapter of the Songline lying within the boundaries of their traditional homeland – a story that has been maintained since the beginning of time.

Travel to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park to a place where unique flora and fauna thrive, Kata Tjuta Here your guide will reveal the many attributes of this diverse environment and describe the cultural significance of Kata Tjuta as a sacred Aboriginal men’s ceremonial site. Arriving at Walpa Gorge you will walk between the mighty conglomerate domes and hear how these 36 domes that make up Kata Tjuta have evolved over millions of years. Take time to listen to the wind (Walpa) far above and view the scale of the rock walls that surround you. Your guide will return you to your hotel in time for those on Sounds of Silence dinner.

The perfect natural habitat for red kangaroos and a vast array of birds and reptiles, here you will investigate an ancient inland salt lake and learn about the pastoral history of the region.

Enjoy sunrise over Kata Tjuta’s spiritual domes and spend an afternoon exploring Uluru, the most culturally significant monolith in Australia. Journey to impressive Kings Canyon to undertake the inspirational Rim Walk or stroll along Kings Creek and marvel at the rock walls towering more than 300 metres above the valley floor. Return to Alice Springs to meet The Ghan or a flight onto your next destination.

To make the most of your time in Central Australia book your 3 hour SEIT Uluru Highlights before your SEIT Bush Tucker adventure. You will travel towards Uluru its vast shape rises from the sand dunes in the early dawn light highlighting its presence in this country. Your guide will take you to a special location to watch the sun rise over this amazing monolith. You will lean the Creation stories of Liru (poisonous snake) and Kuniya (python) and hear about the Mala people. After breakfast you will visit Mutitjulu Waterhole and then drive around the base of the Uluru before returning to the resort.
