The Dolphin Discovery Centre is Australia’s Premier Dolphin Experience. Located on the beautiful shores of Koombana Bay, visitors can experience four levels of interaction unequalled anywhere else in Australia. This includes an Interpretive Centre and Theatre, Interaction Zone, Swim Tours and Eco Cruises.
The Dolphin Discovery Centre is a non-profit community based organisation committed to dolphin research, education, conservation and tourism. The Centre was opened in 1994, and is the first Centre in Australia dedicated entirely to dolphin research.
With over 100 Bottlenose Dolphins living in the Bay, groups of them can be regularly seen in the shallow waters in front of the Centre (Interaction Zone), as well as on eco cruises and swim encounters.
In addition our café offers delicious food that can be eaten in our relaxed indoor area or on our decking overlooking the ocean. The souvenir shop boasts a range of quality souvenirs and momentos as well as an ever growing selection of local crafts and indigenous art.
Location:
The Centre is located in Bunbury, a thriving city approximately 180 kilometres south of Perth in Western Australia.
Travelling from Perth – As you approach Bunbury there is a large roundabout, take the third exit (Koombana Drive). We are 2.1km along on the right hand side.
Travelling from the South – Take the Bunbury By-pass Road which is Robertson Drive. Continue through the traffic lights until you come to the large roundabout, take the second exit (Koombana Drive). We are 2.1km along on the right hand side.
