Nearby Safety Bay is a favourite for windsurfers, while the jetty at Rockingham Beach is popular for fishing and crabbing. This is the also the spot where you would depart for your swim with the local wild dolphins.

Rockingham City Shopping Centre, open seven days a week during the holidays, offers an endless array of popular stores.

Or just around the corner you have the convenience of the Shoalwater Shopping Centre's dozen specialty stores, including a supermarket open seven days a week all year round, a fish and chip shop, the George and the Dragon Hotel and bottle shop, a hairdresser, beautician, bakery, chemist, Red Cross Op Shop, South African specialties store and a newsagent.

Mandurah, with its waterfront holiday town feel, and Fremantle with its European-style cafe strip are both less than half an hour's drive away.

There are bus and train services linking Shoalwater with the local area and providing access to Perth, Fremantle and Mandurah.
